Brought a ticket but didn't use it. Still Valid?

Hi,
I bought a ticket from Bremerhaven to Bremen but ended up using it.
However I have to go through to Bremen in 8 days time and I was wondering whether the ticket would still be valid or whether I would have to buy another.

Hi J,

Bremerhaven to Bremen is a train connection within the local Bremen / Lower-Saxony transport association. Local train tickets are usually only valid on the same day you bought it, or even only for the next train after your purchase.

Did you buy the ticket at the counter, or through a ticket machine? You can ask at the train station, however, I doubt the ticket will be valid in a week.
